For a taste of Europe in St. Louis, head to this "attractive" lakeside chalet with a "nice view of the water", "fabulous" beds with "warm, soft comforters and luxurious pillows" and proximity to the hustle and bustle of the Westport Plaza shopping and entertainment complex (good news, since the on-site food isn't of note); though some complain of "noisy hallways" and public areas that are "showing their age", the mostly "friendly" staff partially makes up for that.

They were pet friendly and for the same price.
It was about 30 minutes from downtown bars/clubs and restaurants.
While my wife and I did not spend much time in the hotel room itself; we were still very pleased non the less. The room was very nice, large and comfortable. A little pricey, but it was nice to go to on a stay cation. The only bad thing about the room was that it had one of those old globe TVs and not even a flat screen for the money. Stains on carpet, walls and lamp.
The Hotel staff were very friendly, the room was very quiet, the bed and pillows super comfortable and the location was excellent for leisure travel.
